Duncan admits he has always longed to be an artist, he describes himself as a painter who can’t paint. Whilst pursuing a successful corporate career his heart has always belonged to the arts. As digital photography developed Duncan’s calling became clear: he would still work in layers as the painter in him desired, but rather than a brush Duncan’s instrument of choice was a camera.

Duncan Wade communicates the magic of cities and the depth they have to offer. Each photographic work strives to show the viewer what they can’t quite see, an imagined world just beyond our view that has become known as Crystal City.

Duncan Wade’s photographic works can be found in private collections around the world including corporate offices in London.  Within the past five years Duncan has experienced monumental success as the subject of three UK solo shows and an exhibition in New York. Each of the artworks exhibited are original, as is so rare in the medium of photography, Duncan Wade only ever creates a single piece, never to be repeated.
