Duncan Wade: 'Concrete Jungle'
31 July - 20 August 2023Plus Arte is excited to present 'Concrete Jungle', a new collection of original photographs from Duncan Wade.Read more
'Concrete Jungle' is an amalgamation of Duncan Wade's photographic styles. Whilst best known for his striking cityscapes, behind the scenes Duncan has been studying and capturing the natural world. Duncan's draw as a photographer has first and foremost been to light. Whilst the lights of city buildings have provided, and still do, a striking start point for Duncan's photography, the dappled light formation of trees has increasingly been drawing his attention.
In the catalogue of works you will find three distinct styles. Firstly, the intense density of his cornucopias, thick with luscious greenery and of a scale that you feel you are engulfed in the trees. Next the cityscapes, braver and bolder in palette than seen before. Finally, the solo trees, often softer in palette and providing a sense of calm.
