“I am constantly looking for new and unusual angles for my work. This piece was created from an original photograph taken while dangling out of a helicopter with its doors off. I asked the pilot to hover above the street as long as he was allowed, until the iconic red buses were spread evenly throughout the image. The metallic finish contrasts with the bright red London buses and black cabs peppered throughout (digitally coloured by hand). And the thousands of people, looking like tiny ants, are represented by dabs of strong colours. London at its vibrant bustling best.”

Printing the image on brushed aluminium gives the piece an etched appearance, highlighting the distinct patterns of the streets spreading out from Oxford Circus.
