Bob & Eve is the creative pseudonym of textile artist Corinna Wilson, whose colourful and often irreverent works offer a fresh, tactile interpretation of modern society. Founded in 2020, Bob & Eve blends the traditional craft of textiles with contemporary artistic expression, capturing the humour, quirks, and beauty of the everyday. The name Bob & Eve is derived from the words “bobbin” and “weave,” reflecting Corinna’s distinctive approach to using wool as her primary medium.

Working from her studio in Brighton, Corinna creates one-of-a-kind pieces using a combination of hand tufted and machine-based techniques. Drawing inspiration from her upbringing in a household filled with tapestries, cross-stitch, and patchwork quilts, Corinna developed a deep love for the craft of textiles, which she now channels into her vibrant, dynamic artwork. After graduating from the University of Brighton with a degree in Illustration in 2001, Corinna worked as a commercial illustrator and ran a homewares business, but always felt a desire to create more tactile, handcrafted pieces that felt personal and nostalgic. This led her to experiment with wool, a material she loves for its texture and the three-dimensional qualities it brings to her work.

Corinna’s creations are inspired by the natural world, but she enjoys treading the line between form and abstraction, allowing her audience to draw their own interpretations. Her works are filled with energy, colour, and wit, providing a humorous, sometimes quirky take on modern life. Through her art, Corinna aims to spark joy, offering the viewer a playful escape that evokes a sense of nostalgia while reflecting on contemporary society.

Corinna’s background in both illustration and homewares design informs her artistic approach, combining the craftsmanship of textiles with the visual flair of graphic design. Her works are a celebration of the everyday, crafted with a sense of joy and humour that invites the viewer to smile and engage with the art in a light-hearted way.
